RULES AND REGULATIONS
-
This softball league’s primary mission is to:
-
Improve and augment the friendly interaction
of all parties
-
Test and improve the physical conditioning of
all players
-
Engage all aspects of the sponsors, the
players and their families and friends in the spirit of healthy
and joyful competition.

The timing of this league will be:
-
Starting game on Saturday Sept. 29, 2007
-
Weakly games on Saturdays
-
Game times are from 5:00 – 7:00 PM
-
Ending game on November 10, 2007
-
Any given scheduled game cannot be delayed more
than 5 MINUTES.
-
All games will be played to 7 innings.
-
If the score is tied in the 7th
inning, a maximum of 2 complete innings will be played if needed.
-
Each team may have 9 or ten players on the field.
-
The only players who will bat are those playing
at that time and serving defensively also.
-
Each time must have a manager and a coach.
-
An official umpire will be hired for each game.
-
Metal spikes are not allowed.
-
All players must wear their team uniform properly
for all games.
-
The only bats that may be used must be label “FOR
USE IN SOFTBALL.”
-
Regarding the game decisions, the final word
belongs to the umpire.
-
An official reporter will keep the data for each
player and game.
-
Each team can have up to 15 players in its
roster.
-
Base stealing is not allowed.
-
A runner on any of the bases may advance when the
pitched ball hits the ground or passes the catcher.
-
A player who is removed form the game may not
play in the remainder of that game.
-
The two teams accepted for this season are:

The FINLAYISTAS ……..”Lethal Vectors.”

The GORDON CLINIC….”Killer Roosters.”
-
Each player MUST pay a $ 25.00 fee in order to
participate in the league. The fee covers the team shirt, the team
cap, the team sox, games balls, and the rental of the field. All
other equipment and garments including pants, gloves, bats,
refreshments etc must be supplied by the players or their teams.

No alcoholic or drugs beverages will be allowed
in any games.

Team and individual scores and statistics will be
published under Community Medical Softball League- Fall 07 at
www.finlay-online.org
Any issue not referred, foreseen or mentioned to in
these regulations will be decided by consensus by the umpires and the
managers on the bases of established principles of sportsmanship and
softball regulations.
