DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT

On physical examination, she had several skin lesions in her back with one in the mid-thoracic region larger than the others. All had well demarcated borders. There was no scaling or surrounding erythema. All the lesions seemed to be oriented towards the midline. A biopsy revealed perivascular dermatitis consistent with pityriasis rosea.
