A study reported from Europe (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=15112132&query_hl=6) reveals that mastitis puerpelalis may be due to simple congestion or to a microbiological agent. The latter may be treated with antibiotics but the breast must be nursed to expedite the flow of milk.
