DISCUSSION: There is no evidence of pancreatitis. The pancreas silhouette is seen rather sharply behind the stomach. There is no sign of appendicitis. There is no free air. The rectosigmoid is slightly dilated and the tissue around it demonstrated fatty stranding indicative of an inflammatory process in the bowel.
