CHRONICLE - CRÓNICA DEPORTIVA
IF THE
wage
OF SIN IS DEATH ... THE PRICE
OF ERRORS IS DEFEAT! THE VECTORS CAME BACK AND WON DEPSITE NARANJO
KEEPING THEIR BATTING TO A MEAGUER 0.230 FOR THIS THIRD GAME OF THE
SERIES
The
weahter looked windy and cloudy and little did the Killer Roosters know
that they were getting ready for another massacre. This timie, the
reason for the overwhelming defeat of the Roosters was the number and
kind of errors. The latters were well documented as Umpire Wilfredo
Lopez and veteran Choly Naranjo worked with the novice scorer Maribel
Rodriguez to mark the errrors and count them properly.
In
total, the Killer Roosters were charged with 17 errors while the Lethal
Vectors had only 3. The story of the errors led to the defeat of the
Roosters, commented A Gordon of the Roosters. This assessment is
supported by looking at the batting average of each team in this game.
The Roosters batted 0.360 as a group while the vectors batted only
0.230.
One
other factor in the game that keeps reccuring is the fact that players
are missing. The fast running Rencurrell of the Roosters and his friend
the sturdy thrid baseman Mufdi took a day off and left their companions
to be fried. On the other hand, it could have been worse because De la
Calle of the Vecotrs did not appear either.
So
far, commented one knowledgeable expectator from the sides: "The guys
that have been picked up at the last minute to fill in the positions for
which there were no players have ended up looking fair but doing little
for the teams." In fact, said another old timer sitting by the chain
link
fence: "I think the strangers just make the whole team loook worse, more
errors, and less runs!"
The
Medical Circle League which is quickly turning into a Fall Classic is
now 2 games to one in favor of the Lethal Vectors of the Finlay Medical
Society, the FINLAYSTAS. There is plenty of room in the park and
everyone is invited to come in and enjoy the next game October 20, 2007,
in Field number 4 at 5:00 PM.
The
league advises managers and coaches to be there with their sing ed
players at 4:15 to have a chnace to practice both the fielding and the
batting before the encounter begins.
